James is a founder member of KSS and has been an associate director since 2007. An all-rounder with a broad range of master planning, design and technical skills, James has extensive experience on large scale sports projects and complex planning applications on sensitive sites.

He is responsible for a wide range of specialist sports consultancy services including strategic design advice, technical audit and project supervision.

As a consequence, he plays a key role in helping KSS maintain its profile within the sport sector, and his skill, commitment and enthusiastic approach make him universally popular with all of our sport sector clients.

David joined the practice in 1996 and became an associate in 2001 and associate director in 2007. He has a broad range of experience on a diverse range of projects, and is a core member of our education sector team.

He has a full range of skills covering concept and detailed design through to on-site project delivery, and has a passion for bold and striking architecture based on a pragmatic approach to construction and detailing.

He is also responsible for providing design audit and technical advisor services to our education sector clients, and managing internal design reviews and outsourcing within the practice.

Lee joined KSS in 2001, and as an associate director is jointly responsible for managing the Sevenoaks office. He has extensive experience on commercial, education and residential projects, and currently heads up our residential team.

He is invariably a key member on any project he is involved in, and is a talented all-round designer (and sketch artist), capable of developing a concept through to detailed design and implementation, maintaining the design philosophy throughout the process.

Over the years he has developed strong relationships within the private and public sectors, and his relaxed personable style has helped build trust with clients, stakeholders and end users alike.

Nick has become a key member of the KSS team since joining the practice in 2002. His experience covers a diverse range of projects including city centre master planning and large mixed use schemes.

Over the last six years he has focused on the education sector and has led a number of successful funding bids for major projects which are now completed and is fronting our marketing effort for new work in the same field.

He believes in a clear master plan and strong concept design, and enjoys the challenge of combining the requirements of a complex brief with architecture that is stylish and fun.
