David founded KSS in 1991, and is both the driving force behind the practice and instrumental in building our international reputation in the field of sports stadia and integrated commercial development.
He has an instinct for understanding clients' needs and building collaborative relationships, and his creativity and commercial acumen gives him the ability to deliver clear strategic thinking and business-sound solutions.
He is passionate about exploring how good conceptual design can have a positive influence on the building user experience, and as an avid sports fan enjoys the challenge of creating memorable venues for spectators and sports stars alike.
Martin joined KSS in 1994 and is the managing director, responsible for the day to day running of the practice including finance, health and safety, human resources, information technology and office administration.
As an architect, he has extensive experience in the commercial, leisure and sport sectors, and has acted as technical advisor on a number of high profile sports related projects including London 2012 Olympic venues.
He is skilled in the management of the design process, where his objectivity, level headedness and practical knowledge add an extra dimension to the team, and is committed to maintaining the quality of professional service the practice provides.
Andy is a founder director of KSS and a major creative force within the practice. His vision and ability to look at any specialist area with a fresh and challenging eye means he acts as lead designer on a number of our major projects.
He has an impressive range of design and team management skills, and his main role is to ensure the clients' needs are met and to lead the strategic and operational guidance to the client and consultant team.
He has headed our major effort in the education field over the last 10 years and managed to maintain his involvement with sports projects during that time as well. He brings analytical depth to every project he is involved in, and is widely respected by clients and consultants alike.
Jeremy is a founder member of KSS, becoming an associate of the practice in 1993 and a director in 2000.
He has extensive experience on a broad range of commercial and high profile sports venue projects with specific responsibilities for master planning, concept and detailed design.
His experience in the sports sector has also led to his involvement in our specialist consultancy work, including planning inquiry reporting and technical design audit.
He leads his team by example, and brings an intuitive design approach to all of his projects. Within the practice he is jointly responsible for technical standards, quality assurance and mentoring.
James is a founder member of KSS and became a director in 2013.
An all-rounder with a broad range of master planning, design and technical skills, James has extensive experience on large scale sports projects and complex planning applications on sensitive sites.
He is responsible for a wide range of specialist sports consultancy services including strategic design advice, technical audit and project supervision.
As a consequence, he plays a key role in helping KSS maintain its profile within the sport sector, and his skill, commitment and enthusiastic approach make him universally popular with all of our sport sector clients.
Lee joined KSS in 2001, and was made a director of the practice in 2013.
Over the years he has developed strong relationships within the private and public sectors, and his relaxed personable style has helped build trust with clients, stakeholders and end users alike.
He is jointly responsible for managing the Sevenoaks office, and has extensive experience on commercial, education and residential projects.
He is a talented all-round designer (and sketch artist), capable of developing a concept through to detailed design and implementation, maintaining the design philosophy throughout the process.
Nick has become a key member of the KSS team since joining the practice in 2002. His experience covers a diverse range of projects including city centre master planning and large mixed use schemes.
Over the last eight years he has focused on the education sector and has led a number of successful funding bids for major projects which are now completed and is fronting our marketing effort for new work in the same field. He believes in a clear master plan and strong concept design, and enjoys the challenge of combining the requirements of a complex brief with architecture that is stylish and fun.
