Beckenham Beacon shortlisted for LIFT Award

KSS are delighted to announce that Beckenham Beacon, part of BBG Lift has been shortlisted for the 2010 LIFT Awards, Category 8 – User Experience. The awards ceremony takes place in London on July 8.

Andy Simons, Director at KSS said "Ease of use for staff and patients was a key part of the original competition approach and so it is great to see it being recognised. The design centred around a good day to day working environment for staff and the least stressful, most efficient experience for patients. The award nomination shows we got this right which we are delighted with."

Beckenham was the flagship development in the first phase of the BBG LIFT programme and one of the largest. The design incorporated the latest day care facilities. A key element of the success of the project was the extensive consultation with clinical staff in order to optimise the day to day operating efficiency and quality of the environment for staff and patients.
