Amex Community Stadium Grand opening

KSS were delighted to be at the Grand Opening of the new American Express Community Stadium for Brighton & Hove Albion FC on Saturday July 30.

The opening ceremony, attended by a host of celebrities, invited guests and former players, also played host to a friendly against another KSS client, premiership club Tottenham Hotspur. The 17,000 capacity match was eventually won by 2-3 by Spurs but it was The Seagulls that got off to a great start raising the roof when they scored the first goal on 11 minutes.

Andy Simons, Director at architects KSS said "It is fantastic to see the stadium fully operational and listen to the fantastic comments from staff and visitors alike. We have been waiting for this day for a long time so to finally be here at the Grand Opening and to see how our design really works is great. The atmosphere was incredible."

The first competitive match in the Championship against Doncaster is Saturday August 6 with a sell-out capacity crowd of 22,500.
