Our redevelopment proposals for Barking & Dagenham College's Rush Green campus reflected its ambition to become the leading provider of further and higher education vocational training in its locale.
Our design approach was heavily influenced by the close proximity of an adjacent country park, and the remodelled campus concept was based on a 100m long glazed street façade linking a series of teaching pavilions merging into the landscape.
We successfully negotiated a detailed planning approval within the green belt, obtained GLA approval, and secured "approval in principle" funding from the Learning & Skills Council.
