Our new 30,000 capacity football stadium in Haifa has been designed to UEFA Elite category standards, and will be a new home for both Maccabi and Hapoel, and also act as a host venue in the UEFA European Under- 21 Championships 2013.
The stadium will act as a striking landmark building for the city of Haifa, and the design concept combines the key stadium elements of bowl, roof and cladding envelope to form a single volume evoking the idea of a "unique shimmering metallic object sitting on a simple plinth against the rugged Mount Carmel backdrop".
The foundation stone laying ceremony took place in June 2010 signalling the commencement of works on site, and the stadium will be completed in Spring 2013.
