This early project represented our first foray into the mass housing market and proved to be a great success. The 300 unit development on the north bank of the River Colne is sited between the Wivenhoe Conservation Area and a protected Site of Special Scientific interest.

Our sensitive interpretation of the local vernacular proved extremely popular with house buyers and the scheme belatedly won us a Commendation at the Daily Mail National Homebuilders' Awards in 2004 – fame indeed!
