Brook House topping out ceremony

The topping out ceremony of the new KSS designed medium density residential Brook House scheme for Newlon took place last week.

Hosted by contractor Galliford Try the event for the ambitious regeneration project, which is being developed by Newlon Housing Trust in partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, gathered Newlon Group with the Club’s Community Ambassador Ledley King, architects KSS and the wider team.

Of the development which stands on the former Cannon Rubber factory to the north of White Hart Lane, Newlon Housing Trust’s Vice Chair Steve Hitchins said: “We are really excited to be helping deliver much needed new affordable homes and a new school for local people, as part of the ongoing plans to regenerate Tottenham.”

The development will include 100 shared ownership homes in a new tower block, 122 low rise homes for rent and a new home for the Hartsbrook School. Completing works to the top floor of the 22 storey development Ledley King said: “This represents another important step in the regeneration of the area. You cannot help but be extremely impressed with the work taking place as you stand at the top of the Brook House development and look out upon the changing face of Tottenham.”

KSS recently completed the northern development project, part of the Tottenham Hotspur stadium masterplan, now housing the largest Sainsbury’s in London and Tottenham University Technical College.
