Mixed-use development completed for Caius House

KSS is pleased to have participated in the completion of the state-of-the art youth club and residential development in the heart of Wandsworth.

Caius House Trust has served Battersea for 125 years, and the vivacity and originality of this mixed-use design will be a significant contribution to the urban regeneration of the area between Clapham Junction and Battersea Park.

Working with key stakeholders from the Caius House Trust and Wandsworth Council, KSS developed the scheme from feasibility to successful planning approval in 2006, and the project was completed by contractor Ardmore for the developer Thornsett Group. Designated as a ‘flagship club’ by Wandsworth Borough, Caius House Youth Centre will bridge the local generation gap, while Sesame Apartments will provide 80 new homes for London’s increasing population.

KSS is proud of its robust design, which was successfully transferred from planning to reality. The primary copper facade, curved nature of the building, and green roofs make this a unique site within an area of urban regeneration and will be a source of inspiration to the surrounding community.
