Ongoing public consultation for LCFC

This month, KSS presented at local public consultations in Sileby and Seagrave and pre-match at the King Power stadium, KSS’ plans for the new state-of-the-art training facility in Charnwood, Leicestershire for Leicester City Football Club’s (LCFC) First Team and Academy.

Representatives from LCFC, KSS, planning consultants Deloitte and other specialist consultants hosted exhibitions and open discussion of the proposed conceptual site plans and strategy for the new centre.

Our designs include approximately 14 pitches, a full size indoor pitch and show pitch, the Foundation / Full Time Academy and First Team building, training and educational facilities, car parking, Sports Turf Academy building, grounds maintenance facilities and retention of 9 holes of the existing golf course for private Club use in a fully landscaped masterplan.

LCFC’s vision is to expand upon recent success and become a consistently competitive force in the Premier League. A key priority to this vision is to develop a world-class training facility that provides an inspirational ‘place of work’ for the Club’s First Team, Development Squad and Academy. The training centre will provide a clear aspirational message to encourage the development of the next generation of LCFC professionals.

Our designs will enable the Club to identify the best talent, deliver an outstanding training programme in the development of the complete player and provide the perfect environment to encourage excellence, team building and Club culture.

A planning application for the proposed new Training Facility will be submitted summer 2018.
