Phase One completes at Portal House

This month, the first phase at Portal House School in Kent completed in time for the new academic year.

Phase One combined the restoration of the original 18th Century Portal House with the introduction of a new three-storey teaching block to enhance, consolidate and expand the School’s facilities.

The new buildings proportion and massing subtly reference the adjacent House, whilst contextual modern details create a distinct contemporary identity for the school.

Head Teacher Rose Bradley said, “I am delighted with the new building, the children think it is brilliant. The facilities are fantastic and it’s fit for purpose, so we are very pleased.”

With KSS’ comprehensive understanding of transformational teaching methods, our designs for Portal House provide a forward thinking, dynamic and inspiring place to learn for students.
