The Sevenoaks Town Car Park project was initiated by Sevenoaks District Council with the aim of using profits generated by a new build residential development to fund the construction of a multi-storey car park, thereby solving the lack of long-stay car parking in Sevenoaks town centre.

The 473 space car park also makes an architectural contribution to the townscape. A stone plinth adds solidity and reinforces the local vernacular, whilst vertical timber fin cladding provides both openness for natural ventilation and visual segregation. Energy-saving features include smart lighting and charging points for electric cars.
