As the largest temporary indoor arena constructed for the Olympics, the venue provided seating for 11,500 spectators during the basketball and handball competitions.
Our brief was to design a compact and intimate seating bowl and our solution delivered a venue that matched the comfort, sightlines, and atmosphere of a permanent arena.

The whole seating bowl is absolutely fantastic and the view from the very back of the seating to the very front is first class. I actually think the seats right the way back are as good as any.”
